BOY'S BASKETBALL


Aiken senior Kenny Knight signed a letter of intent with Kent State last week. Knight is 6 feet 7 and 225 pounds and one of Cincinnati's top players in the 2010 class.

Several Aiken boys' basketball players are getting significant college interest as the beginning of the regular season draws near. Area high school basketball teams were allowed to start practice today (Nov. 6).
 
Aiken senior 6-foot-7 power forward Kenny Knight has orally committed to Kent State. Several other players have received offers or interest.
 
Senior 6-2 point guard Nick McCoy has an offer from Morehead State. Junior 6-5 guard Aaron Thomas is getting interest from Dayton, Providence, West Virginia and Ohio State. Sophomore 6-2 guard William Moore has been offered by Ohio University and is getting interest from Xavier, Akron, Kent State and West Virginia.
 
Aiken, which was 17-7 last season, won a Division I district title last season.
