ANDERSON
BOY'S SOCCER

Anderson High School is pleased to announce the return of alumni Andy Deimling as the new boy’s soccer coach.

Mr. Deimling graduated from AHS in 1988. While at AHS he was team captain of the soccer team his senior year, MVP his senior year, and MVP Senior All-Star Game his senior year.

After high school Mr. Deimling played four years at Western Kentucky University where he was named All Conference. He also spent two years as a starting player for the Cincinnati Cheetahs Professional Soccer team.

He has a wealth of coaching experience as well having coached at Thomas More College, Bishop Brossart High School and serving as the Director of Coaching for the Cincinnati West Soccer Club.

For Mr. Deimling, returning to his alma mater to coach is a “privilege.” “I was fortunate to have great, inspiring coaches during my years at Anderson and I hope to be the same type of role model for my players,” he said. “There is a rich tradition with Anderson men’s soccer and it is a tradition I want to continue. I have a great love for the game of soccer and I am proud to be a Redskin again.”

Mr. Deimling said that the team is adjusting well to the new coaching staff. “They are starting to play as a unit, with great skill and composure. Our defense is organized and disciplined,” he said.

“We are excited to have Andy return to his alma mater to coach,” said Athletic Director Pam Scott. “He has great passion for this program and is dedicated to communicating his extensive knowledge of the game to others.”

Mr. Deimling received his bachelor’s in recreation from Western Kentucky University. He is currently attending Xavier University in the Master’s of Education Sports Administration program. Mr. Deimling also has a USSF “C” License which is a continuing license through the United State Soccer Federation. He and his wife, Michelle, have a son, Nathan.
